About
I share my name with an Australopithecus afarensis skeleton, an American sitcom, a song by the Beatles and a glamour model. With a cast this blinding, I am surely setting up something great here. Or not. Instead, you will read all about the trials and tribulations of a student clinging desperately onto her teenagehood and – due to the natural progression of time – failing. If you’re interested in art, literature, history, grammar, food, fruit juice, flowers and occasional bursts of melodrama then good, so am I! Keep reading
On a serious note I am an absolute pacifist, meaning that I believe – rather uncomfortably to some – that violence is unjustifiable in every circumstance, and that the armed forces are an unnecessary and expensive provocation. This does not mean I am a coward. Elsewhere in that area I support and agree with gay marriage, multiculturalism and legal immigration. Pro-choice (even though my ‘choice’ would be to not have an abortion), pro-freedom and pro-equality. Bleeding heart liberal
Less seriously, I prefer reading and writing to playing and watching, meaning my list of favourite books is too long for this box and my list of films too short. I’m tall-ish, clever-ish and nice-ish, and clearly like talking about myself. So, if you can stomach the frivolities and vanities of youth, welcome, read on, enjoy, be gentle, smile. And they all lived happily ever after!
